CuraçaoExel starts flights between Curaçao and St. Maarten

CuraçaoExel's brand new ATR turboprop built for higher altitudes and longer range
Philipsburg – CuraçaoExel has executed its first flight today from Curaçao to St. Maarten with an extended ATR turboprop plane. After months of courting DCA for a joint-venture, the ExelAviationGroup has embarked on its own and established CuraçaoExel to fill the gap created by DCA as a result of its financial problems.

The first flight was greeted by a welcome committee headed by the Lt. Governor, Mr. Franklyn Richards. CuraçaoExel is now flying twice daily to St. Maarten during workdays and once a day during the weekends, according to the airline company that has experienced a huge growth this year after taking over Air Holland’s operation.

CuraçaoExel’s flighttimes can now be found on AirSXM’s updated Flight Schedules webpage. Passengers from Bonaire can connect through Curaçao to St. Maarten without having to disembark. The flight schedule also offers connections with DutchCaribbeanExel’s Mondays and Thursday flights to Amsterdam.
The airline is also looking to execute flights to New York (Newark), Memphis, Miami and Panama. Exel has ordered two Boeing 737 for these routes. A return fare Curaçao - St. Maarten costs around ANG 400 Antillean Guilders. From Bonaire the return fare is 500 ANG.
